Sharon is one of ten elementary schools in the district of Warrick County School Corporation and is located in the southern part of Ohio Township in Newburgh, Indiana. Sharon is the tenth elementary school to be built in the district, opening in 1980.

Sharon is located on seven acres at 7300 Sharon Road, Newburgh, Indiana and thence the naming of the school. Sharon Elementary School currently serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our school colors are green, gold, and white and our mascot name is the Crusaders.  With the start of the 2009-2010 school year, Sharon Elementary School will serve students in kindergarten through fifth grade and our students will then be attending the new Castle South MIddle School located at 3711 Casey Road, Newburgh, Indiana for grades 6, 7 and 8. Students attending Castle South Middle School will progress to Castle High School at 3344 Highway 261, Newburgh, Indiana for grades 9 through 12.

The building consists of 31 regular classrooms, library, full service kitchen/cafeteria, and a large gymnasium. Additional art, music, speech, special class areas, and offices complete the layout of the building providing for the needs of all students.

The mission of Sharon Elementary School is to provide a safe, nurturing, respectful environment where academic and life skills are taught. Individual growth is the common goal among parents, students and staff.
